We help you to thrive
When you are thriving you are living life to the fullest.
You do well and are strong. You are successful and have the impact that you want. You love to learn and are not afraid of “failure”, since it marks another learning experience. You develop healthy habits. You are emotionally stable. You have positive relationships. You care and are confident. You are resourceful and creative.
You move beyond mere survival.
All of your talents and strengths are used for a life with meaning and purpose. You continually grow and develop positively.
We help you to transform counterproductive habits
Especially when you are facing a challenge, when you are doing something new, in short, when you are leaving your comfort zone.
Those voices are the inner critics. As you probably know, we all have them. They can do some serious damage. They might stop you from pursuing what you really want or trigger unease and unhappiness about yourself.
Procrastination, perfectionism, pleasing, etc. are counterproductive habits that are fuelled by inner critics. Counterproductive habits can cause a lot of stress and unhappiness.
However, your inner critics can become genuine supporters. In fact, inner critics are just trying to protect you. You can learn more about your inner critics and how to effectively diffuse by talking to Jean.
Science of positive psychology
In a nutshell: You are creative and resourceful. You don’t need any fixing. There is nothing wrong with you. You simply want to be happy and experience joy regardless of the circumstances. You want a meaningful life that’s worth living.
Martin Seligman initiated the positive psycholgy revolution in 1998. Instead of looking at all the mental things that go bad, like depression, suicide and psychosis, positive psychology is about moving attention from negative (or neutral) to positive. To thriving. 😉
That positive way of feeling and thinking requires change. New behaviour and habit forming asks for a lot of energy that we usually need to get through our daily life. According to science, in only 19% of the cases we succeed in creating lasting positive changes on our own. (Norcross & Vangarelli 1989).
We all need support when creating positive habits. And that’s what iThrive is about. We help you to thrive.
iThrive is about providing experiences, not only mental exercises. Virtual reality is a powerful tool for experiences. VR is immersive. It is interactive and feels real.
When you have life changing conversations with Jean, you might be invited to a VR experience to deepen your learning. Or be part of a coaching story. Or build your own vision board in VR on the fly.
iThrive VR spaces is easy to use, in the browser on your own smartphone. You can view in landscape mode or use the VR cardboard goggles that we send you at sign up. iThrive does not require professional installation or technical expertise.
